Spanish forward of Moroccan descent, Lamine Yamal is confident he can win the 2025 Ballon d’Or if Barcelona wins titles this season.
He also admits that Barcelona teammate and Brazilian winger Raphinha has been a sensation this season and can equally win the Ballon d’Or at the end of the ongoing campaign.
“We haven’t spoken about it. If we win the titles that are ahead, one of us will win it, whoever it is. I’m very happy for Raphinha, I always tell him that his change has been extraordinary and he’s having a wonderful time. The Ballon d’Or doesn’t worry me,” Lamine Yamal said in an interview.
Both Lamine Yamal and Raphinha have played very well for club and country in the current football season.
At Barcelona, Yamal has scored 13 goals and provided 17 assists in all competitions.
Raphinha on the other hand has 27 goals and 20 assists after making 38 appearances in all competitions.
They are two of the most in-form players in the world at the moment.
