France forward of Cameroonian descent, Kylian Mbappe has indicated that he will never disrespect national team head coach Didier Deschamps.
Mbappe has returned to the France national team this month after a six months absence.
During that period, there were speculations of a rift between the Real Madrid superstar and the World Cup-winning coach.
Speaking to Le Parisian, Kylian Mbappe has strongly stated that there is no issue between himself and the coach, adding that he will always have respect and gratitude for the coach.
“If there was a rift, I wouldn’t have answered his calls. Everyone knows me – if there is a rift with someone, I don’t stay in contact. I don’t know how to pretend. That doesn’t mean that, in a relationship, there are never disagreements. Even if I don’t want any, there are still some.
“I have my education – I always had respect and gratitude for the manager and I will never lose that respect. He has been my only manager with the France team. These aren’t secrets but disagreements that people don’t need to know about,” Mbappe said.
Meanwhile, Didier Deschamps who is also at peace with Mbappe has revealed that the Real Madrid star will remain captain of the France national team.
