Tunisian international Ali Maâloul has officially announced his departure from Egyptian giants Al Ahly.

In a post on Facebook, the veteran confirmed that he is leaving the club at the end of the 2024/25 football season.

The 35-year-old, in his farewell message, expressed gratitude to everyone at Al Ahly, indicating that the club gave him a home better than all other homes.

He further expressed his love to the supporters of the club, insisting that he will always love the club and the supporters.

“Today, I write to you the news of my departure, and tears compete with the ink. However, I go with peace of mind, because my heart will remain in your stands, and your voices will remain in my ears. I am not exaggerating when I say that I found in Al-Ahly a home greater than all homes, and a second homeland to which I truly belonged as if it were my first.”

“To my family, my wife and children, my colleagues and friends, the management and staff at the club, and everyone I have worked with, thank you for being my family. As for the fans, I say to them, the time has come for me to leave my body, but I leave my heart and my shadow in El-Tetch, and I offer my prayers to everyone who wears the shirt after me, to carry it as we have always dreamed of to the top. I am leaving, but my love remains. I love you forever,” Ali Maâloul said in his post.
