Napoli striker Romelu Lukaku has revealed that he does not see the Italian club as his final destination, hinting at a future move before the end of his career.
The Belgium international, who has Congolese roots, has been a key figure under Antonio Conte this season, delivering strong performances in Serie A.
Lukaku has 11 goals and nine assists this season across 30 games in all competitions.
However, despite his current form, Lukaku has made it clear that he has long-term plans beyond Napoli.
Speaking in a recent interview with Corriere dello Sport, the 31-year-old reiterated his desire to return to Anderlecht, the club where he began his professional career.
“I will finish my career at Anderlecht, my parent club. I promised my son, who plays there,” Lukaku stated.
According to Belgian media outlets La Dernière Heure and Het Nieuwsblad, Lukaku intends to make the move back to Anderlecht in the summer of 2026.
Reports indicate that he has already communicated this decision to those close to him.
Lukaku’s journey has seen him play for several top European clubs, including Chelsea, Manchester United, Inter Milan, and now Napoli.
Despite his extensive career at the highest level, the striker appears determined to return to the club where it all started before calling time on his playing days.
