Tunisian coach Lassaad Chabbi has hailed the impressive form of his forward, Hassan Rahimi, after the striker netted a hat-trick in Raja Casablanca’s final league match against Chabab Mohammedia, securing the Moroccan league top scorer title.
In an interview with Al-Riyadiya channel, Chabbi spoke highly of Rahimi’s potential, emphasizing that his belief in the player dates back to their early days together in the youth ranks.
“I never doubted Hassan’s success. I have known him since my first stint with the youth teams alongside his brother Sofiane.
“I recognized his ambition and potential for growth, and I am very pleased with what he has achieved this season, especially since I took over as head coach,” Chabbi said.
Rahimi, in a touching moment of appreciation, was seen kissing Chabbi’s head in front of cheering fans during the post-match celebrations, reflecting the strong bond between the player and his coach.
Chabbi’s impact on Raja has been significant. He took over the reins during a difficult phase for the club, guiding them from the lower end of the league to a respectable fifth-place finish by the end of the campaign.
Under his leadership, the team has been unbeaten in the final 11 matches, securing six wins without a single defeat – a remarkable turnaround that has further solidified Chabbi’s standing at the club.
According to Kooora, Chabbi is now set to continue as Raja’s head coach for the upcoming season, building on the momentum he has created.
