Inter Milan manager Simone Inzaghi was full of praise for Lamine Yamal on Wednesday night after his side’s UEFA Champions League semi-final first-leg encounter against FC Barcelona.
Lamine Yamal started the game for FC Barcelona and scored a stunning goal, helping his team to a 3-3 draw against the Italian giants.
Speaking in his post-match interview, Simone Inzaghi said he has not seen a player like Lamine Yamal in the last decade.
“I haven’t seen a player like Lamine Yamal in the last 8-9 years,” the Inter Milan manager told the media.
Inzaghi continued, “We had to triple him, and obviously, spaces opened up elsewhere. Then he dropped, and our second half was of the highest quality.”
With the first leg of the tie ending 3-3 today, both teams will have it all to play for next weekend when the second leg is staged in Italy.
Lamine Yamal will have a key role to play for FC Barcelona.
