Olympique Marseille midfielder, Bilal Nadir says it is a dream come true for him to represent Morocco at the international level.
The 21-year-old has been handed a call-up to the Atlas Lions’ squad for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Niger and Tanzania.
Speaking to the Moroccan Football Federation media, Nadir said, “I was at the mosque and left after praying. I checked my phone and found a call from my mother and then my father, both of whom were informing me of the good news.”
“Walid Regragui included me on the list of invitees to the camp. This is an unprecedented joy and an emotion I’ve never experienced before.
“I have fulfilled both my childhood and family dreams, and now I have the motivation to do my best, help this wonderful group, and live up to the expectations of the Atlas Lions fans.
“The welcome I received makes me excited for my first appearance in front of the Moroccan fans,” he added.
Bilal Nadir has made 13 appearances for the Marseille with a goal to his credit.
