Danish-born Palestinian forward, Wissam Abu Ali, was over the moon on Wednesday night after helping the team to clinch the 2024/25 Egyptian Premier League title.
In the crucial game against FC Pharco, Wissam Abu Ali scored four goals to lead Al Ahly to secure a resounding 6-0 win.
The win ensured that Al Ahly clinched a record 45th Egyptian Premier League title.
Speaking after the league title triumph, Wissam Abu Ali said he feels he has become an Egyptian.
“God has given us a gift in the last six matches. We are a great team, and we have succeeded in achieving victory in all of them. Every player who takes to the field gives his all to serve the team. I have become Egyptian,” Wissam Abu Ali said.
The Palestinian forward added, “I sit a lot with Imam Ashour, Yasser Ibrahim, and Afsha, and I have started speaking the Egyptian dialect more than English or Swiss.
“I was honoured to be with Emad Meteb, one of Al Ahly’s legends. This is a great honour for me.”
After the league title win, Al Ahly will now prepare for the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.
