The head coach of Stade Rennais, Habib Baye expressed his frutrtation on Saturday after the team lost 2-1 to Toulouse in the French Ligue 1 as he criticised the performance of his players.
In a post-match interview where the coach did not hold back, he described his team as a dead one.
“I told them I have a dead team, a clinically dead team,” the French-Senegalese tactician said.
He continued, “What worries me, and I’m primarily responsible for this, is that this team doesn’t resemble what we would like it to be.
“If we don’t have our right state of mind, we risk experiencing an end of season which will be difficult and which will surely ruin everything we have done until now to put the club back where it should be.”
Despite the shocking defeat to Toulouse, Stade Rennais are reportedly confident in Habib Beye and want to give him a new contract.
