Teenage sensation Lamine Yamal has made it clear his future belongs to Barcelona.
He dismissed any speculation about a potential move away, insisting he can’t imagine wearing another club’s jersey.
Yamal told Mundo Deportivo: “I don’t hear about it. If someone in my camp did receive (an approach), they wouldn’t tell me either. First of all because I have a contract and then because I think it is impossible for me to go to another club.”
The Spain winger is currently under contract until 2026, but an extension until 2030 is expected once he turns 18 this summer.
“I don’t think anyone doubts how much I love this club,” he added. “I’ve said it since I made my debut and everything will work out in the end. If both parties want something to happen, it will happen.”
Yamal’s journey with Barcelona has been remarkable. On August 20, 2023, he earned his first start in a 2–0 win over Cádiz at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys. As he left the pitch with five minutes remaining, he was met with a standing ovation.
He has made 21 appearances, scored five goals and assisted ten in La Liga this season.
