Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has cast doubt over Omar Marmoush’s availability for Tuesday night’s Champions League trip to Norwegian side Bodø/Glimt.
The Egyptian forward has only just rejoined the club after helping the Pharaohs finish fourth at the recently concluded Africa Cup of Nations, and Guardiola suggested he may not be ready to feature.
“I don’t think Marmoush will be involved in Manchester City’s next game against Bodø/Glimt,” Guardiola said.
“I don’t know if Marmosh will come or if Haaland will play… We’ll see what happens in the next match, but first we have to travel to Norway, and then I’ll see how the players recover, and I’ll feel their condition.”
Marmoush found the net twice for Egypt at AFCON 2025, scoring against Zimbabwe in the group stage and Ivory Coast in the quarter-finals, though he did not register an assist during the tournament.
The forward has been absent from City’s last nine matches across all competitions. In his absence, Guardiola’s side recorded five wins, three draws, and just one defeat.
