Olympic Club Safi head coach Amin El Karma has expressed immense joy after leading his team to a dramatic victory in the 2025 Throne Cup final.
OC Safi clinched the prestigious title with a 6-5 win over RS Berkane in a tense penalty shootout on Sunday, ending Berkane’s hopes of completing a historic treble.
In an emotional post-match interview with Kooora, El Karma reflected on the mental and physical toll the tournament had taken on him, but said the triumph made it all worthwhile.
“I’m not required to justify or explain, but it’s the truth. I suffer from severe mental fatigue. Achieving this glory took its toll, and I paid it, and I’m happy about that because this city has given me so much,” he said.
“The daily pressure has drained my energy significantly, and after this historic achievement, I feel I deserve a little rest. I owe my family, just as I owe my body, and I have a strong desire to develop and earn additional coaching certifications.”
The coach, who once played for OC Safi before taking the helm, concluded with deep pride: “My happiness is indescribable. We have brought the city a precious trophy and continental participation in the Confederation Cup. I am a son of this team. I played for it and coached it, and today I see the dream come true.”
