Hossam Hassan, the head coach of the Egyptian national team, has commended the performance of the Jordanian national team in the 2023 AFC Asian Cup, praising their journey to the tournament’s final.
Jordan is set to face Qatar in the final match of the 2023 AFC Asian Cup, scheduled for the day after tomorrow, Saturday.
Speaking in a televised interview on beIN SPORTS, Hossam Hassan expressed his admiration, saying, “Jordanian football holds a special place in my heart.
I consider myself a part of the Jordanian national team.
It’s an honor for me that, alongside Prince Ali, we’ve succeeded in building a strong team that reached the Asian Cup finals in Australia without a defeat, and even made it to the Asian playoffs for the World Cup against Uruguay.”
Highlighting the spirit and ambition of the Jordanian players, Hassan addressed the Egyptian players, stating, “Jordanian players possess a high spirit and ambition.
Any coach would wish to have players with such qualities.”
He continued, “If Jordanian players had access to the necessary resources, they would reach great heights because they have immense ambitions.”
Hossam Hassan’s remarks come as he takes charge of the Egyptian national team, aiming to instill a similar level of determination and drive among the players as demonstrated by their Jordanian counterparts.
