Egyptian football’s top decision-makers have thrown their full support behind national team coach Hossam Hassan.
In a meeting on Monday, the Egyptian Football Association’s (EFA) technical committee, led by Hani Abu Raida, reaffirmed their confidence in Hassan and his staff as they guide the Pharaohs toward the 2026 World Cup.
The committee dismissed any reports of internal disagreements, emphasizing their unity and shared commitment to supporting all national teams. Their message was clear—everyone is working toward the same goal of securing Egypt’s place on football’s biggest stage.
Egypt, currently leading Group A with 10 points, will resume its qualification campaign on March 21 against Ethiopia in Morocco, followed by a home clash against Sierra Leone on March 26 at Cairo International Stadium.
The Pharaohs hold a strong position in the standings, with Guinea-Bissau trailing at six points, Burkina Faso and Sierra Leone at five each, Ethiopia at three, and Djibouti at the bottom with a single point.
The road to 2026 continues, and Hossam Hassan has the full backing to lead the charge.
