Moroccan midfielder Hossam Al-Sadiq is reportedly close to joining Saudi Arabian side Al-Fateh, in a move that would make him the eighth Moroccan player to feature in the Roshn Saudi League this season.

According to reliable journalist Santi Ona, Al-Fateh have reached an agreement with Moroccan club Ittihad Touarga and the 21-year-old player over a season-long loan deal.

The move would see another promising Moroccan talent take his career to Saudi Arabia, where African players continue to make an increasing impact.

Al-Fateh set to welcome third Moroccan

Al-Sadiq would become the third Moroccan in Al-Fateh’s squad, joining compatriots Marouane Saadane and Mourad Batna.

His arrival would also underline the growing presence of Moroccan footballers in the Saudi Pro League during the 2026-27 campaign.

The 21-year-old is regarded as one of the emerging talents in Moroccan football and has been a member of Ittihad Touarga’s first team since 2024.

World Cup success boosted his profile

Al-Sadiq’s most notable international achievement came with Morocco’s Under-20 side, which made history by winning the 2025 Youth World Cup.

The midfielder played in five of Morocco’s seven matches during the tournament, contributing to the North African nation’s historic triumph.

Although he did not score during the competition, his involvement in Morocco’s successful campaign further highlighted his potential as one of the country’s promising young players.

New chapter in Saudi Arabia

A move to Al-Fateh would represent a significant step in Al-Sadiq’s developing career and offer him the opportunity to test himself outside Moroccan football for the first time.

The Saudi league has increasingly attracted players from across Africa, with Moroccan footballers forming a notable part of that growing contingent.

If the deal is completed, Al-Sadiq will become the latest young African talent to take his ambitions to the Gulf, while Al-Fateh will add another Moroccan international prospect to their ranks.
