Hon. Magogo Moses Hassim has been re-elected as the President of the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) for the 2025–2029 term, marking a new chapter in a leadership journey defined by transformation, ambition, and steady progress.
This renewed mandate reflects the trust and confidence that the football community continues to place in his stewardship.
Since assuming office in 2013, Magogo has spearheaded a remarkable era of reform and innovation in Ugandan football.
Under his leadership, FUFA has implemented strategic development plans, elevated technical standards, improved infrastructure, and introduced professional systems across all levels of the game.
What once seemed unattainable has become the new norm – a testament to Magogo’s commitment, strategic foresight, and unwavering belief in Ugandan football’s potential.
His re-election comes at a pivotal time, as Uganda prepares to co-host CHAN and AFCON 2027 – tournaments poised to reshape the national football landscape.
Magogo’s vision, centred around five pillars – Sport, Business, Stakeholder Engagement, Consolidation of Achievements, and Integrity – aims to professionalise the game further, generate sustainable revenue, and deepen stakeholder collaboration.
With over a decade of service, marked by personal sacrifice and relentless dedication, Hon. Magogo now seeks to build on past achievements and address the remaining challenges, including limited resources and governance concerns.
His re-election symbolises continuity and offers hope that, with collective effort, Ugandan football can continue its upward trajectory on the African and global stage.
