'He’s on another level' - English-Nigerian Eberechi Eze hails England teammate Marcus Rashford

Arsenal winger Eberechi Eze has lavished praise on England and Manchester United star Marcus Rashford, calling him “an incredible, incredible player” during a recent podcast appearance.

Born in England to Nigerian parents, Eze linked up with Rashford for the first time after his England call-up, immediately impressed by his teammate’s technique, pace, and overall footballing intelligence.

Eze has made an instant impact at Arsenal since his £67.5 million move from Crystal Palace this summer.

The 27-year-old winger has scored two goals and provided two assists under manager Mikel Arteta, helping the Gunners maintain momentum at the top of the Premier League.

Reflecting on his first England camp with Rashford, Eze said: “That first camp, I remember going away like, ‘Okay, this guy’s on some other stuff.’

“The way he’s striking the ball… the way he’s running with the ball, how he operates. He’s an incredible, incredible player. I enjoy watching him play.”

Rashford is currently on loan at Barcelona from Manchester United, with an option-to-buy clause reportedly worth £28 million.

The Catalan club is said to be seriously considering making the deal permanent, a move that could influence his World Cup prospects.

The England forward has expressed a desire to remain in Spain, but the final decision rests with Barcelona.

Manager Thomas Tuchel and England’s coaching staff are closely monitoring Rashford’s form and fitness ahead of international tournaments.
