Hervé Renard, the coach of Zambia’s national football team, known as the Chipolopolo, expressed confidence ahead of their crucial match against Nigeria in the Africa Cup of Nations (CAN). After a disappointing draw against Ethiopia in their first match, the reigning African champions need a win against Nigeria to boost their chances of advancing to the quarter-finals.
Renard acknowledged the importance of the upcoming match and emphasized that the team’s objective is to qualify for the next stage of the tournament. He pointed out that while Nigeria has international experience with players in top European clubs, Zambia possesses valuable experience in African Cups.
The coach highlighted that the first match against Ethiopia did not go as planned, but he believes that everything is still possible for Zambia in the group. Renard expressed readiness for a difficult match against Nigeria and stated that his team is capable of securing a victory.
