Helmy Toulan, a key figure in the Egyptian Football Association’s Technical Committee, has expressed strong doubts about Hossam Hassan’s suitability to coach the national team.
Speaking on a podcast, Toulan openly criticized Hassan’s capabilities, stating that he lacks the necessary qualifications to lead Egypt.
He added, “He is not convinced of Hossam Hassan, and my opinion is based on the foundations, not personal matters. The results achieved by the team under its leadership can achieve it without a coach.”
“We are without a coach, we can qualify for the World Cup because of the weak competitors, and unfortunately the Egyptian Federation earlier, excessive coach, and had it not been for his departure, the Pharaohs would have enjoyed the last under his leadership, which is Carlos Queiroz.”
Toulan emphasized his stance, insisting that Hassan does not possess a distinct footballing philosophy. “I do not see strengths in Hossam Hassan, as he is not scientifically qualified or football qualified, and he does not have his own philosophy, and I adhere to these words and say it everywhere because it is based on the foundations and facts.”
