'He may cry if he goes back to Man United' - Nigeria’s Asisat Oshoala reacts to Marcus Rashford’s Barcelona form

Nigeria’s Asisat Oshoala has added her voice to the conversation around Marcus Rashford’s resurgent form at Barcelona, suggesting the England international may find it difficult to return to Manchester United after rediscovering his spark in Spain.

Rashford, who joined Barcelona on loan from the Premier League giants, has been at the centre of renewed headlines after making a decisive contribution for the Catalan side at the weekend.

Benched from the starting line-up for arriving late to a pre-match meeting, according to TalkSPORT, the 27-year-old was introduced at halftime and made an instant impact by supplying the assist for Dani Olmo’s goal, which sealed the victory.

Oshoala, a six-time African Women’s Footballer of the Year and one of Nigeria’s most decorated football exports, took to her official X handle to comment on Rashford’s spell in Spain.

Her post, which mixed English with Nigerian Pidgin, read: “Bruh, imagine how Rashford will feel if he goes back to United….. e fit burst cry. E dey enjoy ball ehhhh.”

Translated, the message read: “Bruh, imagine how Rashford will feel if he goes back to United… he might burst into tears. He’s really enjoying football right now.”

Oshoala’s remarks echo a growing sentiment among fans that Rashford’s stint at Barcelona has rekindled his confidence and attacking edge, which had dimmed during a turbulent period at Old Trafford.

With Barcelona benefitting from his renewed energy, questions are already swirling about whether the forward could extend his stay in LaLiga or face a difficult reintegration at United once his loan deal ends.
