Former AC Milan star Ronaldinho has praised current forward Rafael Leão, stating he is among the players he most enjoys watching.
Leão, 25, has contributed 10 goals and nine assists in 43 appearances for the Rossoneri this season.
Born in Almada, Portugal, to Angolan parents, Leão’s heritage adds a rich cultural dimension to his profile. His father, António Leão, emigrated from Angola to Portugal, where he met Leão’s mother, Maria João.
Despite facing criticism for inconsistent performances under coaches Paulo Fonseca and Sergio Conceição, Leão has remained a key player for Milan.
Ronaldinho expressed confidence in the team’s potential, saying, “There are great players at Milan and it is a good team, so I think they can do great things next season,” he told Sky Sports Italia.
He further lauded Leão, “Leão does not need my advice, he is a great player. He is one of the players I most enjoy watching.”
AC Milan currently sit ninth in Serie A with 48 points, 20 behind league leaders Inter Milan.
