Hans Flick names Barcelona squad for El Clasico with Hamza Abdelkarim included

Hans Flick has selected Hamza Abdelkarim among Barcelona’s attacking options for Sunday’s El Clasico against Real Madrid, despite four players being ruled out through injury.

Dani Olmo, Jules Kounde, Eric Garcia and Andreas Christensen are all absent from the squad named by the Barcelona manager for the 10th round of La Liga.

Barcelona confirmed the squad on their official Catalan-language account on 25 October 2026, ahead of the match against Real Madrid.

The full Barcelona squad is:

Goalkeepers: Juan Garcia, Szczesny, Livakovic.

Defenders: Joao Cancelo, Balde, Pau Cubarsi, Xavi Espart, Gerard Martin, Alex Campos.

Midfielders: Brian Farinas, Gavi, Fermin, Pedri, Rodri, Frenkie de Jong, Bernal, Oriol Guren.

Forwards: Gabriel Jesus, Lamine Yamal, Raphinha, Adeyemi, Gordon, Hamza Abdelkarim.

The four absentees represent a significant reduction in defensive and attacking options for Flick, while Abdelkarim’s inclusion gives the German manager an additional forward for the meeting with Real Madrid.

Barcelona go into the match top of La Liga with 27 points. Real Madrid are third on 21 points.
