Okan Buruk, the coach of Galatasaray in Turkey, has announced the absence of Moroccan international Hakim Ziyech from the Round of 16 match of the Europa League, where his team will face Sparta Prague from the Czech Republic on Thursday.
Buruk confirmed in the pre-match press conference that Ziyech would miss the game due to injury, while all players who were absent from the previous match in the Turkish league have been prepared for this encounter.
Galatasaray’s coach stated that the team has regained the services of Abdel Karim Bardakci, Victor Nilsson, and Sergio Oliveira this week, while Ziyech’s absence will continue for an additional period.
The spokesperson clarified that Ziyech will continue training in the gymnasium this week and will not be risked in the matches until he is fully fit.
It is worth mentioning that Ziyech sustained an ankle injury in the match between the Moroccan national team and Zambia during the third round of the African Cup of Nations, causing him to miss the round of 16 match against South Africa.
