Stade Rennais manager Habib Beye has made it clear that discussions regarding his future at the club will not take place until the end of the current campaign.
The former Senegalese international, who took charge in January to stabilize a struggling Rennes side, has reaffirmed his commitment to focusing solely on the team’s progress.
Beye Prioritizing Team’s Performance
Speaking at a press conference, Beye dismissed speculation about his long-term plans, emphasizing that his immediate priority remains the club’s performance in the ongoing season.
“I was very clear from the moment I arrived: there will be no discussion before the end of the 34 matchdays.
My future will only be decided at that point. There is neither need nor desire on my part to talk about it beforehand,” Beye stated.
“The mission is clear—finish the work we started. We will have time to sit down and talk once the objective is achieved.
For now, my focus is entirely on the team and its progress. That is the only thing that matters,” he added.
A Positive Turnaround Under Beye
Since Beye’s arrival, Stade Rennais has shown significant improvement.
The team has secured four victories in six matches, a stark contrast to the struggles that preceded his tenure.
His approach appears to have been well received both within the squad and among club officials.
While uncertainty remains over his long-term position, Beye’s immediate impact suggests he is making a strong case to remain in charge beyond this season.
However, true to his word, he has put any conversations about his future on hold until Rennes’ campaign concludes.
Rennes Focused on Strong Finish
With the club now pushing for a strong finish to the season, Beye’s leadership has been instrumental in restoring confidence within the squad.
As Rennes continue their pursuit of stability and success, the manager remains steadfast in his belief that discussions about his future can wait—at least until the final whistle of the last matchday.
