H. Beer Sheva weigh move for Norwich midfielder Amankwah Forson
Ghanaian midfielder Amankwah Forson is the subject of a reported move from Norwich to Israeli club H. Beer Sheva.
The 23-year-old currently plays for Norwich in the Championship, while H. Beer Sheva are competing in Israel’s Ligat ha’Al. The proposed switch remains a rumour and there is no indication that an agreement has been reached between the clubs.
Forson has yet to feature for Norwich during the 2026-27 campaign, recording no appearances in either the Championship or the EFL Cup so far. His continued absence from first-team action comes as interest is reported from H. Beer Sheva.
The central midfielder joined Norwich from Austrian club Red Bull Salzburg on 9 August 2024 in a deal worth €4.5m. He had previously won the Austrian championship twice with Salzburg, in the 2021-22 and 2022-23 seasons.
Forson’s current market value is listed at €3m, while his contract with Norwich runs until 30 June 2028. That agreement means any move would need to be negotiated with the English club rather than taking place as a free transfer.
Forson, who was born in Accra and plays in central midfield, arrived at Norwich after developing within the Salzburg system. For now, he remains under contract at Carrow Road, with H. Beer Sheva the club linked with a possible move to Israel.
