Guinean striker Serhou Guirassy scores again as Dortmund overcome Leverkusen with a 4-2 win
Guinean international Serhou Guirassy was on the scoresheet on Sunday afternoon, helping Borussia Dortmund to cruise past Bayer Leverkusen with a 4-2 win in the German Bundesliga.
The striker started the Week 33 fixture of the soon-to-end Bundesliga campaign and put up another splendid performance.
On the matchday, Bayer Leverkusen opened the scoring in the 31st minute through a strike from Dutch-Ghanaian defender Jeremie Frimpong.
Two minutes later, German forward Julian Brandt equalised for Dortmund to restore parity to the game.
Before halftime, Dortmund scored again to take the lead for the first time in the contest. This time around it was Julian Ryerson who scored.
After the recess, Dortmund continued to dominate the game and scored two more goals.
First, German-Nigerian forward Karim Adeyemi scored with a beautiful finish before Serhou Guirassy sealed the win in the 77th minute.
Although a Jonas Hofmann strike will pull one back for Leverkusen in added time, it was not enough to inspire a comeback.
With his goal on Sunday, Serhou Guirassy has now scored 20 goals in the German Bundesliga this season.
