Guinean striker Serhou Guirassy battling shoulder pains ahead of Dortmund’s UCL showdown with Juventus
Guinean striker Serhou Guirassy could miss Borussia Dortmund’s UEFA Champions League clash against Juventus in midweek due to shoulder issues.
The 29-year-old striker scored Dortmund’s opener in their 2-0 win over Heidenheim, extending his record of finding the net in all four of BVB’s competitive matches this season.
However, concerns arose when Guirassy repeatedly clutched his shoulder during the game.
According to ZDF, the injury is believed to be a bruise, with Dortmund currently confident it is not serious enough to rule him out of action.
A more detailed diagnosis is expected in the coming days, but for now, the club assumes he will be available for the Juventus tie.
Losing Guirassy would be a major setback for Dortmund, given his excellent early-season form and importance to their attack.
The UEFA Champions League meeting between Juventus and Borussia Dortmund will be played on Tuesday, September 16.
