Guinean defender Mohamed Soumah set to depart Genk amid growing interest
Guinea international defender Mohamed Soumah is edging closer to Jong KAA Gent departure amid growing interest as the winter transfer window approaches.
The former AS Kaloum centre-back has caught the attention of the several European clubs following a standout performance for the Belgian outfit.
Despite having an existing contract until summer 2028, Soumah could part ways with Genk ahead of the January transfer window.
Africassocer.com understands the 22-year-old young Guinean defender is open for Genk departure this winter.
Soumah has been outstanding for Genk in the Challenger Pro League this campaign, scoring one goal and making eleven appearances in the second-tier league.
His outstanding performance at Genk earned him his first international call up back in August 2025. Since making his debut, the defender has racked up two appearances for the Guinea national team.
