Guinea’s Ashanty Golden Boy club made a notable move this weekend by adding two new players to their squad: Abdoul Waliou Moustapha and Abdoul Fatawou Dodja, both from Togo.
Abdoul Waliou Moustapha joins the club as a striker, while Abdoul Fatawou Dodja, a midfielder, has also signed on.
Both players have come in on a four-month loan deal, with an option for Ashanty Golden Boy to make the move permanent.
Prior to joining Ashanty Golden Boy, both players were with AS Douanes.
Abdoul Fatawou Dodja is well-known for his international experience, having been part of the Togo U17 national team that played in the 2007 World Cup in South Korea. He also has experience playing in Sweden.
Currently, after 11 matches in the Guinean league, Ashanty Golden Boy is ranked 4th in the standings, with 16 points, just 6 points behind the leaders, Horoya of Conakry.
This reinforcement with experienced players could help the team make a push for a higher position in the league.
