Guinea striker Momo Yansane leaves Pyunik after early-season European impact

Guinea striker Momo Yansane has left Pyunik Yerevan and is now without a club, bringing his time with the Armenian Premier League side to an end on 28 August 2026.

The 29-year-old centre-forward departs after making three Premier League appearances for Pyunik this season, although he did not score or provide an assist in those matches. He also featured four times in the qualifying rounds of the Uefa Conference League, contributing one goal and one assist.

Yansane joined Pyunik in January 2026 from Omonia Aradippou. That move followed a spell in Cyprus, where he had arrived from Azerbaijan’s Sumgayit in August 2025. His latest departure leaves him unattached after eight months with the Armenian club.

The forward began his senior career in Guinea with Hafia FC before moving to Morocco’s FUS Rabat in 2017. He later spent time with Belarusian club Isloch, including a loan spell, and joined Black Stars before moving to Russia’s Nizhny Novgorod on loan in 2021.

Yansane subsequently made his most decorated move to FC Sheriff Tiraspol, joining the Moldovan club from Black Stars for €200,000 in July 2021. He helped Sheriff win the Moldavian championship and Moldavian Cup during the 2021-22 season.

After another loan spell away from Sheriff, at Pari NN, Yansane moved to Croatia’s HNK Rijeka in September 2023 for €100,000. He then continued his career with a series of free transfers, joining Georgia’s Torpedo Kutaisi in July 2024, Sumgayit in January 2025 and Omonia Aradippou later that year.

Born in Fria, Yansane stands 1.81m tall and is a right-footed centre-forward. His departure from Pyunik follows a short opening to the 2026-27 campaign in which he combined domestic appearances with a more productive European qualifying run.

Yansane’s completed departure from Pyunik on 28 August leaves the Guinea international available as a free agent.
