Ismael Bangoura returns to the Guinea national team after his last appearance during CAN 2012, as coach Michel Dussuyer unveils the squad for a friendly against Mali on May 25 in Paris. The FC Nantes striker’s inclusion offers him the opportunity to vie for a spot in the squad for the upcoming CAN next year.
Among the selections, four players from the local championship are named, with three hailing from Horoya. However, young Abdoul Razzagui Camara is notably absent from the list.
