Guinea hand Ghana-based goalkeeper Mohammed Camara a call-up for Togo and Niger friendlies
Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Mohammed Camara has received a call-up to the Guinea national team for upcoming international friendlies against Togo and Niger in Casablanca, Morocco, during the FIFA international break.
The announcement was confirmed in a statement released by the club, which praised the goalkeeper’s consistency and vital contributions since joining the Porcupine Warriors.
Camara’s inclusion in the Guinean squad comes as no surprise, given his outstanding form in recent months.
The agile shot-stopper has been instrumental in Kotoko’s success, playing a key role in their FA Cup triumph, the Champion of Champions title, and the Toyota Cup victory in South Africa, where his crucial penalty saves proved decisive.
The 26-year-old is expected to depart Ghana after Kotoko’s much-anticipated Super Clash against arch-rivals Accra Hearts of Oak on Sunday, November 9, 2025, to join his national teammates in camp.
“Asante Kotoko congratulates Mohammed Camara on his national team call-up and wishes him the very best as he represents his country,” the club said in its statement.
