Stade Reims Signs Grejohn Kyei to Professional Contract
Stade Reims has confirmed the signing of Grejohn Kyei to a professional contract for the next three seasons, adding a promising talent to their squad for the upcoming season. Kyei, who has been with the club’s youth system for four years, expressed his delight upon securing his first professional contract.
“I’m very satisfied. This means my work has paid off. I’ve put in a lot of effort over the past few years. It’s a great reward. I’m very happy,” Kyei told the club’s official website.
The 19-year-old forward has enjoyed an impressive season with the U19s and the CFA, scoring 19 goals in 24 matches. Kyei’s rise through the ranks has made him one of the club’s most exciting prospects.
“I want to move up the ranks with the club. First, make appearances with the professionals, then eventually become a regular. We’ll see later how far I can go,” he added. “I’m already looking forward to seeing the return to professional football at the start of next season.”
Currently sitting in 8th place in Ligue 1, Stade Reims is preparing for another competitive campaign, with Kyei aiming to be part of their efforts to further establish themselves in the top flight of French football.
