Granada secure long-term deal for young winger Owen Emeka

Granada have agreed a new deal with teenage winger Owen Emeka, keeping him at the club through 2029, transfer insider Matteo Moretto reports.

The agreement reportedly contains a €15 million release clause, giving interested clubs a clear route to sign the emerging talent.

The 17-year-old has attracted growing attention after breaking into Granada’s senior squad during the 2026-27 campaign. Emeka has made six appearances, including three starts, and accumulated 262 minutes of first-team football. His breakthrough moment arrived against Albacete, when he scored his first professional goal with an impressive solo run and finish.

Real Madrid had previously shown interest before the renewal was completed, although discussions failed to produce a transfer. Other leading clubs are now monitoring his progress, including AC Milan, Arsenal, Bayer Leverkusen and Newcastle United. No formal offer has been confirmed so far.

Emeka spent last season mainly with Granada’s youth teams, making 12 appearances for Recreativo Granada without scoring or assisting. His rapid rise since promotion to the senior group has dramatically improved his profile.

The new contract protects Granada’s position while allowing Emeka to continue developing in a familiar environment. If his progress continues, the €15 million clause could attract serious attention.
