Ghana’s U20 women’s football team, widely known as the Black Princesses, concluded an intensive and fruitful training camp in Paris. The team completed its final training session on Friday, February 16, 2024, marking the end of a productive week in France.
Since their arrival last Sunday, the Black Princesses have been immersed in a comprehensive training program designed to elevate their performance for the African Games scheduled to take place in Accra next March.
The official commencement of training sessions began on Monday, February 12, and the team utilized the world-class facilities at Clairefontaine to fine-tune their skills and strategies for the upcoming competition.
A highlight of the seven-day camp was a friendly match against the Paris Saint-Germain U19 women’s team.
The encounter resulted in a goalless draw, providing the Black Princesses with a valuable opportunity to gauge their readiness against formidable opposition.
With the Paris training camp now concluded, Head Coach Yussif Basigi and his squad will return to Ghana for the subsequent phase of preparations.
The focus will shift to Accra, where the team will make final adjustments and hone their tactics ahead of the tournament kick-off on March 8, 2024.
Ghana finds itself placed in Group A for the African Games, alongside Tanzania, Uganda, and Ethiopia.
