Manchester City cruised into the FA Cup semi-finals with a commanding 4–0 victory over Liverpool at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday, powered by a stellar performance from Antoine Semenyo.

The Ghanaian winger, a January signing from Bournemouth, took center stage by scoring a clinical goal and providing a crucial assist in a dominant display that showcased his seamless integration into Pep Guardiola’s side.

The match turned decisively in City’s favor late in the first half when Erling Haaland converted a penalty in the 39th minute. Semenyo then turned provider on the stroke of half-time, delivering a pinpoint cross from the right flank that Haaland met with a towering header to double the lead.

This assist underscored the growing chemistry between the club’s record-signing and their prolific Norwegian striker, leaving Liverpool reeling as they headed into the break.

Semenyo effectively ended the contest as a spectacle just five minutes into the second half. Latching onto a delicate through ball from Bernardo Silva, the forward demonstrated his elite composure by chipping the ball over Liverpool goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili and into the far corner to make it 3–0.

The goal was his 17th of the season across all competitions and capped a 50-minute spell where he was the game’s most influential figure.

Haaland eventually completed his hat-trick in the 57th minute to finalize the rout, but it was Semenyo’s creative spark and clinical edge that dismantled the Liverpool defense, securing Manchester City’s place at Wembley for an unprecedented eighth consecutive season.
