The result at the FUFA Stadium Kidiba was enough to see Ghana progress, having already taken a crucial 2-1 advantage from the first leg in Accra last week.
Uganda’s U-20 women’s team struck early, breaking the deadlock in the 6th minute to go into halftime with a 1-0 lead and briefly putting pressure on the visitors.
But the Black Princesses responded strongly after the break, with Linda Owusu Ansah finding the equaliser in the 78th minute to restore parity and ultimately secure qualification.
The aggregate result confirms Ghana’s passage to the tournament for an impressive eighth consecutive appearance at the 2026 U-20 Women’s World Cup, which will be hosted in Poland later this year.
