Ghana defender Alexander Djiku eulogizes Fenerbahce’s character after win over Göztepe

Ghana international Alexander Djiku has lauded Fenerbache’s character after securing victory over Göztepe in the Turkish top-flight.

Djiku lasted the entire duration of the match as Fenerbache secured a 3-2 home win over their opponent.

“Big character. Well done team. Thanks again for your support until the end” he wrote on Instagram.

The visitors, Göztepe went to the halftime break with the advantage after getting the match opener in the 25th-minute mark through Juan.

Right after recess, the home team level the score through Moroccan international Youssef En-Nesyri before doubling the advantage in the 53rd minute following an assist from Filip Kostic.

In 55th-minute, Oguz Aydin found the back of the net, sealing victory for Fenerbache as they snatched maximum points in the game.

Tanzania international Novatus Miroshi pulled one back for the visitors in the 82nd minute mark.

Djiku has been outstanding for Fenerbache under seasoned trainer, Jose Mourinho. The 30-year-old defender has made 25 appearances for the Turkish giants across competitions.
