He also pledged to the supporters that he would stay, and now with the contract signed, he looks forward to the coming years with the belief that the team will win more titles.
In the Bundesliga, Ribéry had an impressive season, contributing with 10 goals and 15 assists. He capped off his seventh season with Bayern Munich with a historic hat-trick of championship, Champions League, and German Cup victories.
Alongside Ribéry, another former Marseille player, Belgian defender Daniel van Buyten (35 years old), also extended his contract for one more season until June 2014. Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, chairman of the Bayern management committee, expressed excitement about retaining both Ribéry and Van Buyten, referring to them as cornerstones of the team, highlighting their incredible contributions throughout the season.
