Since joining the Spanish giants on a free transfer from Chelsea in June 2022, Antonio Rudiger has cemented his place as a key figure in the heart of the team’s defence.
His contributions have been central to Real Madrid’s recent successes, including their La Liga and UEFA Champions League triumphs in the 2023/24 season.
In that UEFA Champions League campaign, Rudiger earned a place in the Champions League Team of the Season.
Beyond his defensive solidity, Antonio Rudiger has also stepped up at crucial moments. On April 1, the German international scored an extra-time winner against Real Sociedad, sending Real Madrid into the Copa del Rey final.
On Wednesday, April 16, Rudiger will have a key role to play when Real Madrid host Arsenal in the second leg of their UEFA Champions League quarter-final tie.
