German forward of Senegalese descent, Leroy Sane, wants to extend his Bayern Munich contract but is pushing for more money.
According to sources, the former Manchester City attacker wants a better base salary than what is being offered by the German Bundesliga champions.
Sane, who is now represented by renowned agent Pini Zahavi after parting ways with his former representative, Christian Schmid, has been linked with a possible move away from Bayern Munich.
Despite changing his agent and amid the interest from top European clubs, reports indicate that Sané is still willing to sign a new deal with Bayern Munich.
His new agent, Pini Zahavi, has submitted a revised proposal on his behalf, requesting a €12 million base salary with an additional €3 million in bonuses largely tied to appearances.
This counteroffer comes in response to Bayern’s earlier proposal, which has a base salary of €10 million plus bonuses totalling around €15.5 million.
Bayern Munich are unwilling to accept the counteroffer and want to stick to what they presented to the player and his former agent.
The contract talks can only move forward if the impasse is solved.
