Germany-born defender of Senegalese descent, Malick Thiaw, is set to leave Italian Serie A side AC Milan at the end of the 2024/25 football season.
The youngster has been a rock in defense for the Serie A giants in the current campaign, having made 20 appearances so far.
However, growing reports indicate that AC Milan will lose the 23-year-old in the summer transfer window.
German Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen are interested in the services of the defender and will reportedly make a move to sign him at the end of the season.
The club is preparing for the exit of experienced defender Jonathan Tah and believes Malick Thiaw will be a good replacement for him.
Currently, Malick Thiaw is under contract with AC Milan until 2027. The former Schalke 04 defender could now return to Germany for the next chapter of his career.
It is understood that AC Milan could approve the transfer of Malick Thiaw for a fee of around 30 million euros.
This will mean the Italians will make at least 25 million euros in profit after purchasing him for just 5 million euros from Schalke 04.
