Tsiy Ndenge is drawing attention from across Europe as he approaches the final weeks of his contract with Grasshopper Club Zürich.

The 27-year-old midfielder is set to become a free agent at the end of June 2025, prompting a wave of interest from clubs eager to secure his signature without a transfer fee.

Ndenge’s consistent performances in the Swiss Super League have not gone unnoticed. During the 2024–25 campaign, he featured in 25 league matches, scoring three goals and registering one assist.

His role in midfield has been pivotal for Grasshopper, offering both composure in possession and tactical versatility.

Now, with his contract expiring, several European clubs are lining up in an effort to sign the German-born Cameroonian international.

Among the frontrunners is Bundesliga side FC Cologne, who view Ndenge as a valuable addition to bolster their midfield options ahead of the new season.

With a focus on reinforcing depth and experience, Cologne are reportedly monitoring his situation closely and are expected to open formal talks in the coming weeks.

Elsewhere in Europe, Serie A outfit Cagliari have also registered an interest. The Italian club, known for its physical style and emphasis on midfield balance, are understood to be considering Ndenge as part of their summer recruitment strategy.

His ability to operate in both defensive and box-to-box roles aligns with their tactical needs heading into the 2025–26 season.

Danish champions FC Copenhagen are another club thought to be in the race. The club’s hierarchy has reportedly made initial enquiries regarding the midfielder’s contract situation, viewing him as a player who could add depth and experience to their squad, particularly with European competition on the horizon.

Meanwhile, Greek giants AEK Athens have also emerged as a potential destination. With ambitions of returning to the summit of Greek football and competing strongly in European tournaments, AEK see Ndenge’s physicality, vision, and technical skill as valuable assets that could complement their existing midfield unit.

Currently valued at approximately €1.5 million according to market estimates, Ndenge’s availability on a free transfer only adds to his appeal.

Clubs interested in signing him will not only benefit from his on-field abilities but also from the financial prudence of a deal that would require no transfer fee.

Born in Germany to Cameroonian parents, Ndenge has had a career marked by steady progression. His early development in Germany laid the foundation for his professional journey, and his performances in Switzerland have now positioned him as one of the more sought-after midfielders available in this summer’s transfer market.

As negotiations unfold, the player is expected to weigh his options carefully, with regular first-team football, the opportunity for continental competition, and long-term career stability likely to factor into his final decision.

With interest continuing to mount, Tsiy Ndenge’s future looks set to be decided in the coming weeks — and all signs point to a move that could see him take the next major step in his European career.
