Chelsea’s newest gem, Geovany Quenda, has earned high praise from former Manchester United star Nani, who called the 17-year-old “unbelievable” while reflecting on how his old club let a special talent slip through their fingers.
The young forward, set to join the Blues in 2026, has already turned heads with his dazzling potential.
Nani, a United favorite from 2007 to 2015, didn’t hold back when discussing Quenda’s rare gifts. “There is a kid at Sporting, Quenda, who is 17 years old and he is unbelievable,” he told A Bola. “He has energy, he has speed, he can improve his physical ability, but he is a very intelligent player. Very mature.”
“He knows how to play as part of a team, when he should calm down and speed up the game,” Nani added.
Regretting United’s oversight, he said, “I think so. There are no players like him at 17. Why did Chelsea sign him? Because they know that.”
Born in Guinea-Bissau in 2007, Quenda grew up in Portugal.
