Genoa are reportedly considering a new offer for French-Senegalese manager Patrick Vieira a new contract following his impressive performance.
The 48-year-old tactician joined the Serie A outfit in November 2024, replacing Alberto Gilardino following an unimpressive start to the campaign.
Vieira has performed admirably, with the side currently siting 12th position with 39 points after 32 rounds. Genoa could finish the campaign in the middle of the league standings.
At the weekend, Genoa played out a pulsating goalless draw against Hellas Verona.
According to reports in Italy, Genoa is considering offering the French tactician a new contract. His current contract runs until 2026, but the club could extend the deal for another year.
Meanwhile, the former Arsenal star has emerged as one of the candidates for the Roma coaching job.
Vieira, born in Dakar, has managed a couple of clubs including New York City FC, Nice, Crystal Palace, and Strasbourg and is currently trading with Genoa.
