Genclerbirligi SK, the Turkish football club, has officially welcomed Cameroonian international James Lea Siliki to its ranks. The signing was exclusively reported by Africafoot just hours before the formal announcement, as the club shared the news via a press release on its social media platforms.

According to the details provided by Genclerbirligi SK, James Lea Siliki has inked a six-month contract that spans until June 30.

The Cameroonian central midfielder, previously associated with French Ligue 1 side Rennes and English Championship team Middlesbrough, brings a wealth of experience to the Turkish club.

His resume includes 84 appearances in the French top-flight league and 11 caps for the Cameroon national team.

The press release from Genclerbirligi SK reads:

“Our team, which completed its transfer activities at half-time, signed a contract until the end of the season with James Lea Siliki, who previously played for the French Ligue 1 team Rennes and the team of English Championship Middlesbrough.

The Cameroonian central midfielder has played 84 matches in the French Ligue 1 and 11 times with the Cameroon national team.”

Valued at 900,000 euros, James Lea Siliki’s arrival in Turkey marks a new chapter in his career.

The central midfielder had been without a club since parting ways with Estoril Traia in Portugal back in September 2023.

As he embarks on this new venture with Genclerbirligi SK, Siliki aims to make a significant impact during the remainder of the season in Turkish football.
