It appears that the Gareth Bale transfer to Real Madrid is nearly finalized. The Welshman is expected to sign for Real Madrid for a sum of 108 million euros. The deal involves a direct transfer fee of 93 million euros for Bale and the inclusion of Fabio Coentrao going in the opposite direction. If confirmed, this will be one of the largest transfer operations in football history, surpassing Cristiano Ronaldo’s 94 million. At the same time, Tottenham Hotspur is reportedly close to completing the arrivals of Brazilian Willian from Anzhi and Erik Lamela from AS Roma.
