Gambian defender Ebrima Jatta joins G.Birligi U19 from Real de Banjul

Ebrima Jatta, the 18-year-old Gambian centre-back, has joined G.Birligi U19 from Real de Banjul.

Jatta’s move takes him to Turkey, where he will play for G.Birligi U19 in the U19 Super Lig. The transfer was completed on 4 September 2026, marking a change of club for the defender at the start of the 2026-27 season.

The Gambian defender arrives after representing Real de Banjul. He leaves the club having made one recorded appearance in the CAF Champions League, playing the full 90 minutes.

Jatta’s arrival adds a centre-back to G.Birligi U19’s squad as the club prepares for its campaign in Turkey’s under-19 competition. His position is listed as central defence, and he joins the side at the age of 18.

The move also continues Jatta’s progression in the game after his involvement in continental competition with Real de Banjul. His CAF Champions League appearance is the only recorded match in his career statistics, with no goals or assists listed.
