Galatasaray have submitted an initial €55 million bid to sign Nigeria international Victor Osimhen in the ongoing summer transfer window.
The Turkish giants are keen to retain the highly-rated attacker for the new campaign following an impressive loan spell last term.
With Osimhen set for a permanent Napoli departure, a hosts of clubs including Al Hilal, Chelsea, Manchester United and others have expressed keen interest in the forward.
In an attempt to snap up Osimhen at the expense of other clubs, Galatasaray have an offer of €50 million, plus €5 million in additional incentives to secure his signature.
Meanwhile, the Italian powerhouse are demanding a higher sum of money for the transfer of the striker this summer.
Osimhen is keen to return to Galatasaray, where he played on loan for the Turkish club last season and excelled as one of the league’s top stars. However, the completion of the deal depends on negotiations between the two clubs.
Meanwhile, Saudi club Al Hilal remains a contender in the race to sign Osimhen, planning to pay the player’s €75 million release clause.
However, Al Hilal has not yet been able to reach a final agreement with the Nigerian striker.
It’s worth noting that Osimhen was not part of Napoli manager Antonio Conte’s plans last season, prompting him to go on loan to Galatasaray, where he performed admirably.
