Turkish Super Lig side, Galatasaray, have renewed their interest to sign German forward of Senegalese descent Leroy Sane.
The club was heavily linked with a move for the FC Bayern Munich forward in the January transfer window.
However, in the last few months, the desire to secure the services of Sane cooled down.
Today, sources have revealed that Galatasaray are back in the race for the forward and are preparing to make formal contact with the player and his representatives.
Despite the renewed interest, it may be too late for Galatasaray as the player is on the verge to signing a contract extension deal with Bayern Munich.
The forward has agreed to a reduced base salary of €10 million plus €5 million in performance-based bonuses, down from his €20 million annual earnings.
He believes that despite interest from Arsenal, Manchester United, and some unnamed Saudi clubs, staying at Bayern Munich is the best decision for him.
This season, Sane has scored 13 goals and provided five assists for Bayern Munich in all competitions.
